My very first vlog!

1.9.11

Okay... it's been a long time coming. I've been toying with the idea for weeks and weeks but my confidence failed me... until now! I've taken the advice of all the social marketing gurus out there and I've started to vlog. Here is my first... it's just an introduction. There will be more. But I just wanted you to get to know me a little better.
(the cat's name is Hermione and the little dog is Luna!)

  1. Hey there!
It's really nice to put a face to the blog owner / book author /...
You have NO reason to be shy about it! The ehms don't bother me at all...probably best to just not think about it. EHM away!
I recently posted my very first video as well. Stop by my blog anytime! http://bookthatthing.blogspot.com

  2. Hi,
I give you props for going on camera, as I can't say that I'd have the courage to do the same. We don't realize just how often we rely on 'um' until we are tasked with taking it out of our vocabulary. It is a very hard thing that will get easier with time. :-) We can easily type away our words on the computer, but throw a camera in our face and we become speechless. It is a natural reaction of the human race. I wish you luck with your vlogs.

  4. Suzy, you are adorable on the video! So cute and little nervous. I loved it! You should do it more often. I have been testing doing vlog as well, but never actually published one, but it will be there soon. I just need to practice more :)
    Your first vlog was great!

  5. Hi Suzy, really brave thing to do so well done. Now you've done the first I'm sure it will get easier! Really great to see and hear you and makes me even more likely to keep checking out your blog and books too.
I liked the relaxed approach and guest appearance from Hermione.
I used to record training soundtracks to accompany slides etc and the umms were a professional hazard. The only tip I can give is to really convince yourself you're talking to a friend - perhaps even balance a cuddly toy near eyeline of camera and talk to it...
