  1. In all the years I worked as a social worker, whenever I'd get an abusive mom or dad, I couldn't help but want to slap them. A child is such a gift. I have never taken for granted the role of "mom". It broke my heart to talk to an adoption specialist from our child welfare department. They had volumes ...huge books filled with pictures and profiles of kids who were in need of homes. But they weren't babies. And everyone wants the babies.
How can these parents not appreciate such treasures? I will never understand it.

  3. Elizabeth... I so understand what you mean. Its heartbreaking, especially for someone like me that just hasn't been able to produce any of my own.

  5. Don't tell anyone but I was doing the same thing when I was 'playing' the recorder! I played the complete wrong song once and no one even noticed, so I figured that it didn't really matter! :)

High five for Pirates of the Carribean quotes! [Johnny Depp swoon!]
