#AtoZChallenge: H is for House for sale!

9.4.13

So I couldn't resist including the sale of my house in the A to Z Challenge... hoping that a reader in the world somewhere just happens to be searching for a lovely house in the Algarve! Do we have any takers? Curious perhaps? Or just plain nosy? I don't mind!
Here it is:
Three bedroom modern villa, two bathrooms (one en-suite), large open plan living / dining / kitchen. Wood burning stove. Stunning views across to the Monchique mountains. Lovely lawn garden and vegetable patch / orchard with fruit trees. Large garage. Beautiful spot. Could be yours for just 269,000 euros!!
It has been the most wonderful house to live in. Hubby and I have some fantastic memories here but it's time to move on and, after 27 years of living in Portugal, we're ready for our next big adventure. So we're heading for England where we plan to live for a few years, see how it goes and then perhaps move across the pond to Canada!
Don't forget to download my YA books: Raven FREE right here, and Daisy Madigan's Paradise, also FREE right here.

  1. It looks dreamy, I hope you manage to sell soon and make your move to UK. I have to warn you though you might need a few jumpers over here!

  5. You have a beautiful home, but unfortunately, the commute would be a killer.

  6. What a beautiful home and it would be perfect if it was in Sedona,AZ (that is where we are currently looking for a home) but unfortunately my husband would not want to commute to Portugal up for anything LOL But,hey how exciting you are off to England and then Canada, sounds fun :) Lucy from Lucy's Reality

  7. It always amazes me how much pricing differs from region to region. Looks like Algarve is prime real estate. Best of luck to you!

  9. Lucy... what a bummer! It would be so cool to sell to someone from the States :)

Emily... gosh yes, don't I know it but house prices have really dipped over the past couple of years. But I guess that's happening everywhere.

Kimberly... I'm really curious what you wrote about. I'm heading over now :D
