YA Author Club: Social Media - what works for you?

12.7.13

Today, the YA Author Club is talking about social media, what works and what doesn't. I've found the best for me is Facebook and Twitter. I'm also an avid Pinterest user but I'm not sure how beneficial it is for me as an author. It's particularly good for giving me inspiration, but other than that, I can't really comment.
Facebook and Twitter, on the other hand, really do seem to work when it comes to getting word out about my work. So far I have managed to garner over 3,000 likes on facebook and almost 6,000 followers on Twitter, which is totally awesome. Whenever I post something about my books, I usually find that quite a few people share my posts - especially on Twitter. Having said that, I don't really know whether this equals more downloads / sales or not.
But what about you? What works for you?
Don't forget that I currently have THREE FREE books for you to download!! Yes that's right - THREE. Raven, Daisy Madigan's Paradise AND The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw. So what are you waiting for? Go grab yourself a copy now!

Check out the other YA authors in the club!

  1. I'm not sure either how effective social media is in sparking sales, but I'm having a great time anyways! Suzy, I met you online, so there's obviously many benefits aside from sales!

  2. Absolutely Eileen! That's one main awesome thing about social networking - it's the making friends! :D
