#AtoZChallenge: L is for Love

13.4.13

Love. It makes the world go round, right? It's not money... it's love! And in the words of Marti Pellow (Wet Wet Wet), Love Is All Around. Sigh.
I'm one of the very lucky ones. I met the love of my life (sorry to sound so cheesy) when I was 16. We've been together ever since... 21 years in fact! Yes we have our ups and downs. Doesn't everyone? But he completes me, you know? I'd hate to even imagine life without him.
Here we are. Me and my very own soulmate (sorry, I got a bit carried away as I reminisced down memory lane)...

I feel for Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart right now

6.8.12

I was really saddened to read about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's split last week. I know it's hard to believe that she would cheat on our lovely RPatz, but there must be reason behind it. Surely, nobody cheats unless there is an underlying problem with the relationship in the first place? They seemed like the perfect couple... so in love. And yet, she can't have been so desperately in love with him if she would go off for a bit of a fling with some movie producer / director (whatever!), could she? I had hoped that they could work it out, but I guess it's tough to forgive something like that, especially when it's plastered in every newspaper, blog, website, yada yada yada all over the world. Poor RPatz must be feeling so betrayed and poor Kristen must be feeling so guilty. I really do feel for them both. I'm sure they're both hurting so much right now. I just hope they can accept what has happened and move on and be happy, whether it's together again (I hope so!) or with different partners. They deserve to be happy, just like the rest of us.

Sometimes It Happens... a novel by Pauline Barclay

14.5.11

Fellow author and all-round lovely girl, Pauline Barclay, celebrated the launch of her latest novel, Sometimes It Happens, yesterday!!
The book sounds delicious... secrets, deception, lies, love and laughter. What more could we ask for in a super novel?

"Winning the lottery was just the beginning for Doreen Wilkinson, nothing prepared Doreen for her holiday at Villas Bonitas and nothing prepared Villas Bonitas for Doreen Wilkinson."

Check out Pauline's latest post about it... Scribbles!: Publication Day. Alternatively, just go straight to amazon and buy yourself a copy! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sometimes-It-Happens/dp/B0050K7NVE

The best of luck, Pauline!!

Shed a tear

2.11.10

Shed a tear
Hold those thoughts
She's gone
22 years and still the memory as avid as ever
Shed a tear
Remember her smile
And hugs like warm milk and honey
Shed a tear
Hold out your hand
A mother's touch
Remembered forever
